Latest Grand Theft Auto Online Update Introduces New Bombushka Run Mode

It's Tuesday, which means we've got a fresh new update for Grand theft Auto Online to plow through. And this week is bringing a ton of aerial fun, as a new mode will force you to defend your own in the air.

Rockstar Games detailed the newest addition to the game today, titled Bombushka Run. In it, "two teams of up to four square off, with one side piloting the heavily armed Bombushka as the other attempts to bring the beast down with a swarm of Buzzard Attack helicopters," according to the company. "Teams then switch sides, and whichever one survives the longest while piloting the Bombushka scores the victory. It's the classic game of cat and mouse, except the mouse is an enormous Cold War bomber bristling with .50 Cal Turrets and the cats get armed copters." The mode will offer Double GTA$ and RP from now through September 25th.

Plus, you also get general access to the RM-10 Bombushka plane. "In addition to room for six including three turret positions, the Bombushka comes with an array of available upgrades from the Hangar Workshop, including Incendiary and Cluster bombs." Now that sounds like something to take on a joyride.

On top of that, Hangar Workshops are 25 percent off through the 25th, with discounts on Aircraft Weapons, Liveries, Resprays, Mobile Operations Center Cabs and Executive Offices, so you can stock up on that end as well, but only through the next few days.

Finally, a new Premium Stunt Race and Time Trial are available as well. The Premium Stunt Race is called Water Slide, and is limited to the Blazer Aqua vehicles, while the Time Trial is called Calafia Way. Win these events and you'll score some GTA$ and RP payouts to add to your stock. These races are going on now through September 25th, so jump in and have some fun.

So while there's not a fully loaded update this week, the new mode and events will give you plenty to do. Now take to the air and defend your own!

Grand Theft Auto Online is available now, as part of Grand Theft Auto V, for Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC.
