Pre-orders for the Xbox One X just went live on Amazon. If you haven't been able to pick your sup yet, you can find the listing right here. Note that this is for the base 1TB model, and not the Project Scorpio Edition. For many of you, that's a good thing. Pre-orders are going live today for the first time not only on Amazon, but at GameStop as well. If you miss out on your chance to pre-order the console here, then it may be worth stopping by your local GameStop to see if you can find one there before they're all gone.

This will be one of the hottest items this holiday season. With the Sony crowed pretty much established and settled in with the PS4 Pros, the next-gen 4K solution for home console gamers is going to be the Xbox One X, which Microsoft rightly claims to be the most powerful console in the world. With 6 teraflops of peak performance potential, the Xbox One X is going to be more than capable of cranking out first-party titles in native 4K. Games like Forza Motorsport 7 will even run at 60 fps which, at 2160p, is a serious accomplishment.

Microsoft still has a lot to prove with its post-launch lineup, though, which is something to consider before going all-in on your pre-order. We know that PUBG will enjoy a nice timed exclusivity on the console, and bigger multi-plat games like Assassin's Creed Origins, Shadow of War, and Anthem are going to run better on Xbox One X than anywhere else. When it comes to first-party exclusives, though, things are looking a bit thin.

Still, if it's power you're after, Xbox One X is the place to play. Xbox is committed to bringing solid exclusives to its customers, so we have a feeling that 2018 is going to be a great year for the platform.
