Report: Cyberpunk 2077 To Have Witcher III's Geralt Voice Actor Return

Many Witcher fans are excited to see what else awaits for them as the same studio that brought us Geralt of Rivia continues to work hard on their next adventure: Cyberpunk 2077. With reports that the next title will be even bigger than the Witcher series, the hype train continues to chug along and it's about to get some more steam because a new report shows that the infamous Geralt may be coming to the world of Cyberpunk ... well, at least his voice.

Doug Cockle, the man behind the iconic voice, recently made a statement about the Witcher series and the hard work that CD Projekt Red is putting into the upcoming RPG:

"I know nothing about The Witcher 4. I know they're very much focusing on Cyberpunk and I have discussed ... the idea of me being involved somehow." Whether his involvement is as paramount as a lead role, or simply an easter egg or notable NPC, we're not sure - it seems that he doesn't know either quite what part he'll play. For those that are huge fans of his character, however, it is exciting to hear a familiar voice as a developer moves onto different projects.

With CD Projekt Red boasting that the next project will be "bigger, better, and even more revolutionary than the Witcher 3," it's exciting to see what they have in store. They've already proven they've got what it takes to supply players with an exceptional story with memorable characters, now to see how they do in a different sort of fantasy environment.

Cyberpunk 2077 is still currently in development stages with no release window set at this time.
