The Tokyo Game Show is just about ready to call it a show for the year, but not before the 2017 Japan Game Awards for the event were handed out, signaling the best of the best from the previous game year. And to no one's surprise, Nintendo managed to dominate yet again with the Grand Award.

Last year, the company won big with Splatoon in 2016, picking up the Grand Award then for excellence. This year, the trend continued, but with the Nintendo Switch/Wii U release The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. The Computer Entertainment Supplier's Association, or CESA for short, voted unanimously on the title, giving Nintendo yet another reason to be pleased with the event. (And who knows, Super Mario Odyssey just might win for next year.)

As for the rest of the winners, there were quite a few notable winners for Award For Excellence, including Pokemon Sun and Pokemon Moon, which also won for Best Sales Award and Global Award for Japanese Product; FIFA 17, which won for Global Award Foreign Product; and PlayStation VR, which won the Special Award.

Here's the full list of winners!

  • Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild - Grand Award, Award for Excellence
  • Resident Evil 7: Biohazard- Award for Excellence
  • Final Fantasy XV - Award for Excellence
  • Horizon: Zero Dawn - Award for Excellence
  • Monster Hunter XX: Double Cross - Award for Excellence
  • NieR: Automata - Award for Excellence
  • Nioh - Award for Excellence
  • Overwatch - Award for Excellence
  • Persona 5 - Award for Excellence
  • Pokemon Sun and Pokemon Moon - Award for Excellence, Best Sales Award, Global Award Japanese Product
  • The Last Guardian - Award for Excellence
  • PlayStation VR - Special Award
  • FIFA 17 - Global Award Foreign Product

Some notable titles were given nods in the Future Division as well, including Detroit: Become Human, Fire Emblem Warriors, Monster Hunter World, PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds and, of course, Dragon Ball FighterZ. We'll see how they fare come next year's awards.

But congrats to The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild and the other games winning big. We'll see if Nintendo can keep up its winning streak next year.
