With LEGO Marvel Super Heroes 2 just over a month away from release, WB Games has finally released a new trailer that helps provide a little more background on the game's story, and specifically Kang the Conqueror.

The trailer, narrated by Cosmo the Spacedog, can be seen above, and sees him assembling some of the greatest superheroes in the galaxy to fight against Kang's forces. They're going to have their hands full. From the official press release:

"The video stars lovable canine, Cosmo the Spacedog – telepathic Soviet cosmonaut, Knowhere's chief of security and ally to the Guardians of the Galaxy – who is tasked with alerting and assembling an elite team of Super Heroes to take on the time-travelling Super Villain, Kang the Conqueror.

Kang has stolen numerous Marvel cities and locations from across time and space to form the expansive Open Hub World of Chronopolis, in hopes to take over the universe. As a result, Cosmo's call to action brings together a diverse group of Marvel Super Heroes from different time periods and realities – including Star-Lord, Thor, Spider-Man, Spider-Gwen, Hulk, She-Hulk, Ms. Marvel, Rocket Raccoon, Iron Man, Cowboy Captain America, Doctor Strange, Captain Marvel, Black Panther, Groot and many more – who must all band together to foil Kang's diabolical plans."

We also get some minor details at the end of the trailer about what to expect from the Season Pass that's included with the Deluxe Edition. It comes with missions that will be based around three of Marvel's upcoming films for 2018, including Black Panther, Avengers: Infinity War, and Ant-Man and the Wasp. It doesn't go much further than that, but if what we've seen in previous LEGO games continues to be true, we'll see entirely different chapters based on these films.

A schedule hasn't been revealed yet, but it wouldn't surprise us if WB paced out their releases alongside their respective films; Black Panther in February 2018, Infinity War in May 2018, and Ant-Man and the Wasp in July. That's just pure speculation at this point, however.

LEGO Marvel Super Heroes 2 releases on November 14th for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, and PC.
