Earlier this year, during Sony's E3 press conference, Guerrilla Games revealed that it would be adding on to the hearty adventure Horizon: Zero Dawn with a new expansion, The Frozen Wilds. And since we're just a few weeks away from the release of said expansion, the company has opted to answer a few questions regarding it.

Perhaps the biggest one that fans are asking about is if The Frozen Wilds will be the only expansion that's released for the game – aside from the DLC that's come out alongside Zero Dawn earlier this year. Well, bad news – it is.

The company has confirmed that The Frozen Wilds is the only expansion being released for the game – probably because it's already hard at work on the follow-up, which has no doubt been green-lit by Sony.

As far as what else the company has addressed, here's the lowdown from its recent tweets from its Guerrilla account...

"· There are no plans to add co-op to the game.

  • The Frozen Wildsis a "substantial" piece of content and its mapwill be added to the existing one, hence expanding the overall world map.
  • Players don't need to finish the main story to play the expansion.
  • The Complete Edition will have all DLC items and The Frozen Wildson disc. Only the theme and artbook will be digital.
  • The Complete Edition will contain the same DLC items as the Digital Deluxe Edition."

So it sounds like players will be getting something truly substantial from The Frozen Wilds, even though it's pretty much the last chapter. At least, for now.

Here's the quick lowdown on The Frozen Wilds in case you missed it:

"Beyond the northern mountains, the borderlands of the Banuk tribe challenge all who dare enter to survive the extremes. But now this frozen wilderness harbors a new threat, and for Aloy, a new mystery – one she's determined to solve."

The Frozen Wilds will release for Horizon: Zero Dawn on PlayStation 4 on November 7th. If you can hold off long enough, there will also be a Horizon: Zero Dawn Complete Edition released in December.
