BioWare has been a hot topic lately with talks of Anthem and how the high profile title has impacted other projects, most recently: Mass Effect Andromeda. Though Anthem looks visually stunning and offers many similar components as other titles under the BioWare umbrella, many fear that EA has stretched the teams too thin in other important works to focus on the new IP. That being said, more and more team members are leaving the company for good - many of which have been paramount staples in popular works like the Mass Effect Trilogy, the Dragon Age franchise, and Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic.

The latest team member to branch out into new horizons is Anthem's lead animator Steven Gilmour. The move has been speculated up in recent weeks, but was made official on his LinkedIn profile. This brings Gilmour's time with BioWare of 17 years to a firm close.

He has led many notable projects from the team, including the most recent Dragon Age: Inquisition, the entire Mass Effect Trilogy, and of course - Knights of the Old Republic. His most recent venture has been that of Anthem, though his work on the upcoming title may have been completed. With the beta set up for the future, however, his departure may have been a bit too soon, though that is simple speculatoin.

It's sad to see members like Gilmour go but we here at ComicBook wish him nothing but the best in his future endevors. For now, the Anthem countdown begins for a release set for sometime in 2018.
