Black Clover Project Knights

A new teaser trailer from Bandai Namco confirms that a Black Clover game is in the works called Black Clover: Project Knights.

Based on the popular anime and manga, Black Clover: Project Knights is the first video game adaptation of the series. Details on gameplay and other game features are agonizingly slim at the moment with only a teaser trailer having been released by Bandai Namco, but it won't be much longer until more information is available.

The information that's been released so far confirms that the game will be released on the PlayStation 4 as well as the PC, though it'll only be released for the PlayStation 4 in Japan. When that release will come hasn't been revealed yet though, the only timeframe provided by Bandai Namco being that it'll be out sometime in 2018. A site that's been created by Bandai Namco for Black Clover: Project Knights indicates that more information will be made available on Dec. 18, but it'll likely take a bit longer before a solid release date is revealed both for Japan and for a worldwide release.

Compared to other anime-based games, Black Clover seems to be getting a video adaptation pretty quickly. The manga has been around for a few years now, but the TV adaptation is still quite new, so the quick turnaround gives viewers one more timely way to stay in the Black Clover universe.

But if you haven't yet given Black Clover a chance at all whether through the anime or the manga, a description of the series' storyline should help you get an idea of whether or not it's right for you:

"In a world where magic is everything, Asta and Yuno are both found abandoned at a church on the same day. While Yuno is gifted with exceptional magical powers, Asta is the only one in this world without any. At the age of fifteen, both receive grimoires, magic books that amplify their holder's magic. Asta's is a rare Grimoire of Anti-Magic that negates and repels his opponent's spells. Being opposite but good rivals, Yuno and Asta are ready for the hardest of challenges to achieve their common dream: to be the Wizard King. Giving up is never an option!"
