Destiny 2 Faction Rallies Return, The First In Season Two

With the Curse of Osiris expansion for Destiny 2, comes the second season. This of course means an overall reset to loot that players can earn and a fresh experience to the popular Bungie shooter. The newest Faction Rallies event returns, the first of the new seasons, and allows Guardians a chance to fight for their faction of choice for new gear and brand new ornaments to make that set up look sweet.

The first Faction Rallies for Season Two begins on December 12, running through December 19.

Here's a look at the new drops you can fight for:

If your faction wins, the most amount on engrams will be rewarded for players to purchases highly coveted weaponry. For the winning faction, a Winner's Offering is available - for the losers, the same guns are available but at a much, MUCH higher cost. It pays to be loyal. Here's a look at the upcoming weapons:

The Faction Rallies is open to all on all platforms, but we've got to admit - we're pulling for Future War Cult! Need a little rundown on the different factions, especially those new to Destiny? We've got you covered:

"Each of the factions of the Tower is having a rally to collect resources for its cause. They're recruiting Guardians to gather supplies for their faction and destroy enemy resources. They'll offer a suite of rewards to help the Guardians rise up against any enemy threats. As an incentive, each faction has set aside a powerful weapon to entice players to choose their side. The faction whose Guardians collect the most faction packages will be declared the winner. The winning faction will offer the weapon to everyone, but all who pledged loyalty will receive it with a huge discount as repayment for their contributions to their faction's cause."

Dead Orbit:

The Dead Orbit can be found on the main floor in the Tower. Their main colour scheme will have Guardians donning a familiar black and white motif while fighting for their honor. Their motto? "The Traveler is not our only salvation. Another future lies out among the light of other stars." The Dead Orbit believe that the reckoning is coming and that their only hope of survival is to abandon everything they know and retreat into deep space.

Those who join this faction will follow Arach Jalaal.

Future War Cult:

The Future War Cult (represent!) can be found on the upper level of the west hangar at the Tower. Led the exo Lakshmi-2, this vibrantly coloured group will have Guardians donning rich purples, golds, and oranges. With a motto like "There is no future but now. No truth but war," these guys don't mess around and they are always prepared.

New Monarchy:

This faction is led by the respected Executor Hideo whose call to arms bears the colours red and white. Their motto? "Hope will be born from the collective triumphs of the king in us all."

The New Monarchy aims to user in humanity into the Golden Age. One interesting little tidbit is that New Monarchy helped to dissolve a previously established faction called Concordat under Lysander. A few discovered easter eggs suggests that Lysander is still alive and is currently rallying support against the New Monarchy away from the City.
