Originally released in July of last year for PlayStation 4, Final Fantasy XII: The Zodiac Age is a re-release of the original PlayStation 2-era Final Fantasy game, giving it another shot at love among players with new, gorgeous graphics and add-ons. Now, according to Square Enix, the game is also coming to PC via Steam, with enough additional content to make any long-time fan happy.

Along with the game's release on February 1st, the minds behind the game will be doing a special Q&A live stream to fill players in on everything that's new, the making of the game, and the process of its revival. Producer Hiroaki Kato and director Takashi Katano will answer questions submitted through Twitter on the official Final Fantasy YouTube account on February 2nd, a day after the game's release.

The game will feature plenty of upgrades and additional content, including:

  • 60FPS – Ivalice will look better than ever with the game running at 60FPS.
  • Compatible with 21:9 ultra-wide monitors – Up to three HD monitors can be used for a potential 48(16×3):9 experience.
  • New Game Plus and New Game Minus – Post-game content modes are now accessible from the beginning of the game.
  • Three background music options – The original, re-orchestrated and soundtrack versions are now available from the beginning of the game.
  • Maximized License Points and Gil – New functionality added to grant players max License Points and Gil from the configuration screen.
  • Full controller support, Steam Trading Cards and more to optimize the PC player experience.

But, of course, there's more: first, players who buy the game through Steam within a week of its launch will receive even more bonus content, including a 3-track digital complication, a pretty new Steam skin, and 20% off of the purchase price.

Finally, a physical collector's edition of the game will be made available for purchase at $149.99, and it will include a digital download code for the game, an official Collector's Edition Steelbook that comes with the original soundtrack, a five-piece Judge Masters Bust Set, and a special six-card art set.

Final Fantasy XII: The Zodiac Age is available for PlayStation 4 and will release on PC on February 1st.
