Those who want a sneak peek at what Sony has in store for the next PlayStation 4 update can do so now by signing up for the software's next beta testing.

Sony recently opened the signups for the beta and called on PS4 owners to help them test the new software before it goes live for all uses. By doing so, you'll have the first look at all the improvements Sony plans to implement ahead of everyone else, and all you have to do is sign up.

This year, gamers in Canada will also be able to sign up for the beta testing with those signups opening on Monday.

"We're getting ready for the next major system update for PS4, and can use some help from PS4 owners to test it out ahead of launch," a PlayStation Blog post explained. "Starting today, you can sign up for a chance to be a beta tester and get an advance look at some of the improvements and new features coming to PS4. And good news for Canadian folks – beginning this beta, PS4 owners in Canada are also able to register for the beta testing."

Those who choose to sign up through the North American, European, or Japanese signup pages will have to enter their PSN name and answer a couple of questions to get started. After you've entered all of the necessary information, you'll receive an email with further instructions explaining how to download the beta version of the software. You can always go back to the old software if you decide that you don't like the new one, but make sure to let Sony know first so that they can gather the proper feedback they're looking for.

Also new to this beta test, if you choose to register for the beta now, you can also choose to automatically be enrolled in future betas when they become available. The details on what all is included in this beta haven't been revealed yet, but Sony confirmed that another announcement would be coming soon to detail everything that was included in this newest software update.
