'Injustice 2': Who Are The Three Remaining Characters?
NetherRealm Studios officially unveiled today who would be coming in the next Injustice 2 DLC [...]
Raven
With the current Teen Titans that are already appearing in the game – including Starfire and Cyborg – it's a pretty safe bet that one more could come along. Raven already made her presence felt in the original Injustice: Gods Among Us, and she quickly became a fan favorite with her array of awesome powers. So that would make her seem like a safe bet for making a return, just as a number of other characters have. Plus, that would add further to the possibility of some kind of Teen Titan story expansion, and possibly even more characters being thrown into the fray for a possible second season. Then again…
prevnextEnchantress
There's another angle that the NetherRealm team could be taking with Injustice 2, and it could very well involve the Suicide Squad. After all, Deadshot is a playable character, and so is Harley Quinn – and they're both heavy fan favorites. So throwing another hero (villain?) from the squad into the mix would make for an interesting new story expansion in that direction, possibly even introducing Amanda Waller and maybe even more. Not that we'll see Captain Boomerang or anything, but, hey, you never know. Enchantress does fit that shadowy mold.
prevnextThe Atom
This one just makes sense. First off, there aren't any pint-sized characters in the DC Comics universe besides The Atom. Secondly, he's a pretty popular character right now. But then there's the obvious thing: Ed Boon retweeted a popular Alex Ross image featuring the tiny hero. So unless Ant-Man makes some sort of miraculous crossover, you can bet we'll see this shrunken-down hero's antics sometime later this year or in early 2018.
prevnextConstantine
Constantine just seems like an obvious favorite at this point, mainly because of his spectral capabilities and being able to plow down enemies with a heavy amount of firepower. His character's still a hit these days despite the NBC live-action show being cancelled, and his appearance in the Justice League animated film shows that Warner Bros. still has a great deal of care for him. So we wouldn't be shocked if he popped up and decided to bring the powers of hell with him. Hey, you have to take care of Hellboy somehow, right?
But, on the other hand…
prevnextRorschach
We are talking about someone that wears a trench coat here, and Constantine isn't the only character in town that does that. There's been some talk about a Watchmen character making the crossover leap to Injustice 2. Hellboy has shown that anything is possible in that regard, so it wouldn't shock us if the moody masked detective showed up to kick some ass and take some names. Our only request is that, if he does make it, NetherRealm should bring in Jackie Earle Haley to voice him. I mean, after all, he is Rorschach. "Your hands. My pleasure."
Injustice 2 is available now for Xbox One and PlayStation 4.
