A Portable Minecraft Redstone Wall Torch Is Useful In Real Life

In Minecraft, Redstone torches are useful tools that can power the mechanisms you create. The light they emit is dim, so they're not particularly functional as a source of illumination. ThinkGeek has brought the Redstone Torch into the real world as a wall lamp that can be removed and wielded like an actual torch.

Granted, the real Redstone Torch requires batteries and functions best as a light (we assume that it's also an effective tool for keeping mobs at bay). ThinkGeek's Redstone Torch USB Wall Charger is actually closer to the real thing in the sense that it is capable of powering up your gadgets while emitting a soft, eerie light. There's also a standard Minecraft light-up torch option. Either way, I would love to line a hallway with these wall torches. At $20-$25 a pop, doing so seems pretty achievable on a modest budget.
