Ash and Goh travel to the Alola region where Ash is reunited with his Alolan Pokémon and his old friends, Pokemon and his mentor Professor Kukui (as well the new addition to the Kukui family). At the party Ash's friends are throwing for him, Kiawe challenges Goh to a battle to see if Goh is a fitting rival for Ash. It's Goh's Raboot against Kiawe's Turtonator in a battle in which Goh is introduced to Z-moves, with a surprise ending! show less

After having battled his way back into the Great Class and hearing that Saito is in the Johto Region, Satoshi heads out to challenge her once again. At the Tanba City Gym, headed by Satoshi's former opponent Gym Leader Shijima, Satoshi faces Saito, with Pikachu and Riolu vs. Saito's Otosupus and Kapoerer to avenge their previous defeat. Pikachu takes down Kapoerer, but is brutally defeated by Otosupus. Now it's a rematch with Riolu facing Otosupus; however, this time Satoshi and Riolu have a strategy in mind. No matter the outcome, Satoshi has a new rival! show less

Thinking the cause may be the Legendary Pokémon Thunder, Professor Sakuragi sends Satoshi and Go to investigate, with both boys wanting to catch Thunder for themselves! Tracking Thunder to the Kanto Power Plant, a major Raid Battle begins, with Satoshi and Go joined by the most unexpected of allies ... Rocket-Dan, who also want Thunder for themselves! They manage to work together for a while, but when it looks like Thunder is escaping, Rocket-Dan turns on Satoshi, who orders Go to go after Thunder while he and Pikachu deal with Rocket-Dan. Go calls on his Flygon to help Rabbifuto, but he fails to catch Thunder, who uses its accumulated power to recharge all the area's Electric Pokémon, including Pikachu. show less

Nyarth realizes just what it is that Rocket-Dan is lacking, but falls asleep before he can tell the rest. After seeing some drone footage of Pikachu in action, Musashi and Kojiro decide to make a serious study of Pikachu in order to finally catch him. The trouble is, Musashi's plan to dub over Pikachu in order to understand his speech may not be as brilliant as she thinks since neither Rocket-Dan human really understands Pikachu. / Satoshi, Go and their Pokémon are enjoying the nice weather when they come across a Numacraw half-buried inside a field of completely parched earth. The ground is too hard for them to dig Numacraw out, and Go's various plans to free it, such as by catching it or using Messon's Water Gun move, fail completely. As Satoshi and Go try to figure out a way to get water to free the Numacraw, a passing Runpappa might just provide the solution...if they can get it to understand what they need. show less

Leaving the train to chase after a Horubee, they get separated in a forest shrouded in thick mist after Go pursues the Horubee on his own. Trying to find each other, they encounter two mysterious Pokémon. Meanwhile, the Galar region is experiencing a phenomenon where Pokémon are Daimaxing in places where it's normally impossible for them to do so and going on rampages. show less

Satoshi and Dande continue battling Daimaxed Pokémon, and Chairman Rose tries to lure Satoshi into his machinations, but Satoshi declines, wanting to follow his own dream (enraging Rose's assistant Olive). Meanwhile, both Dande and Professor Magnolia are becoming suspicious of Chairman Rose. The next day while Sonia and Go are visiting a mural at Lateral Town, Olive's henchman, who's been tailing them, tries to kidnap them on Olive's orders, but a Daimax battle between Rabbifuto and the henchman's Dustdas reveals some startling new evidence about the legend of Galar. show less

The revealed statues are ...read more Daimax Rabbifuto defeats Olive's henchman's Daimax Dustdas, sending the henchman fleeing. The revealed statues are images of Zacian and Zamazenta holding the Sword and Shield, and Go and Sonia escape from Olive's henchmen. Dande sees Mugendina break free from Chairman Rose's Energy Plant core, unleashing the Black Night. Satoshi races to stop it, while Go returns to Slumbering Forest with Sonia where they not only meet Zacian and Zaramenta but also uncover the artifacts which may save the world. At the Energy Plant, Chairman Rose reveals his true nature and evil intentions to Satoshi and Dande. Mugendina breaks free and escapes; while Dande goes after it, Satoshi prepares to battle Rose with Pikachu and Riolu versus Rose's Daioudou and Nutrey. When Go arrives, he and Rabbifuto face off against Olive and her Milokaross. show less

During the battles, Riolu evolves into Lucario, Rabbifuto evolves into Aceburn, and both Rose and Olive are defeated! After Dende fails to capture Mugendina, it takes on its Eternamax form and Dende is injured. Satoshi and Go take up the Sword and Shield to battle Eternamax Mudengina, summoning Zacian and Zamazenta to help them and their Pokémon defeat Mugendina. Satoshi and Go use a Monster Ball to seal away Mugendina, ending the Black Night Daimax threat, and return the Sword and Shield to Slumbering Forest, while Sonia becomes a Pokémon Professor. show less

Arriving at the island, they meet up with lots of different Pokémon (many of which Go immediately catches) and encounter the legendary Clone Pokémon Mewtwo. Go announces his determination to catch Mewtwo, and when Satoshi asks to battle Mewtwo it agrees to face them both at the same time. Aided by Pikachu, Lucario and Aceburn, Satoshi and Go begin their toughest battle yet against the strongest Pokémon of all with their dreams on the line! show less

Satoshi and Kairyu are eliminated in the first round and both Hoshigarisu and Morpeko move on, but before the second round Rocket-Dan's cheating eliminates quite a few contestants. Hoshigarisu and Morpeko make it to the finals and Rocket-Dan is confident of success, but then discover that Morpeko is totally full while Hoshigarisu looks to be in the same predicament! show less

However, Rocket-Dan secretly gets there before them, intending to steal Pikachu by swapping it with their mech "Almost Pikachu", which looks and acts just like Pikachu. The problem is, when the two Pikachus start playing together and moving about, they can't tell which is which! When they do finally grab one of them, Aceburn and Lucario (who haven't been getting along very well) see this happening, chase after Rocket-Dan and rescue the snatched Pikachu, all the while being stuck together by Rocket-Dan's sticky grabber. But which Pikachu did Rocket-Dan grab and can Lucario and Aceburn learn to work together to protect the one they rescued? Meanwhile, the oblivious Satoshi, Go and Pikachu are having a great time tasting the dessert delicacies of the Unova region. show less

Seeing ...read more At a Kuchiba City research center studying Eievuis, an Eievui tries to imitate different evolved Eievui without success. Seeing Koharu's Yamper walk by (it's out for a walk with Satoshi and Pikachu while Go and Koharu are in school), it escapes from the center and follows Yamper, with whom it becomes friendly. When two lab assistants from the center chase after Eievui, Yamper leads it to Koharu's school, where Koharu spots them and enlists Go's help to block the assistants while she escapes with Eievui. Rocket-Dan, who've infiltrated the school disguised as students, attempt to steal all of the Pokemon in the school playground, including Go's Aceburn and Messon, and when Satoshi and Pokachu try to stop them they fall into Rocket-Dan's classic pit trap. Yamper leaps to Eievui's defence, but when its attack fails Eievui battles alongside it, imitating and using Yamper's electric attack, and Pikachu (who's climbed out of the pit) finishes up with a Thunderbolt. The head of the research facility comes to take Eievui back, but Eievui, who's become attached to Koharu (who feels the same way), runs back to her. With the head's approval, Eievui allows Koharu to catch it. show less
