Professor X To Be Part Of New Mutants Movie

The New Mutants will have a veteran influence on hand if the current version of the script makes it to filming.

"Right now, as the movie exists, Professor X would be a part of a New Mutants movie."

No other details were given about Professor X's role in the film, but the New Mutants are enrolled in his school for the gifted, so most likely it will be in the familiar headmaster role. Kingberg also didn't specify who would be playing the part, but at this point, McAvoy would make the most sense.

New Mutants is being directed by Josh Boone (Fault In Our Stars) and is eyeing a 2017 filming date.
