All-New Doctor Strange Art Revealed

Things are starting to get strange over at San Diego Comic Con. The annual convention is in full swing, and Marvel has been making headlines with all the reveals they've made there so far. Last night, Marvel's TV division hyped fans by unloaded details about their upcoming Netflix series. And, ahead of Marvel Studios' presentation this weekend, it seems like some new Doctor Strange images have been revealed at SDCC to whet fans' appetites.

The guys over at BadTaste has uploaded what appears to be new promotional art for Doctor Strange. The artwork features Stephen Strange (Benedict Cumberbatch) in full-force as the mystical hero summons some intense magical energy. The piece gives fans a peek as to how the character might appear when fighting, and as Doctor Strange is a Marvel flick, you can expect it to contain plenty of action. Fans who've shared the concept art are clamoring over the hero's poised stance, and of course, Cumberbatch's loyal followers are just happy to see the actor's infamous cheekbones captured so well in this piece of art.

In fact, Doctor Strange has had a large presence at SDCC this year as it marks the project's first appearance at the event. Attendees lucky enough to attend SDCC - and maneuver through its extraordinarily long lines - have been given a sneak peek of the film's ornate wardrobe. The Sorcerer Supreme's outfit was on display, complete with its red cape, Eye of Agamotto pendant, and Cloak of Levitation. Other mannequins were also erected and dressed as Baron Mordo and the Ancient One.

For Doctor Strange fans, many of them have been excited to see the detail placed into each of the character's ensembles. And, after @MarvelUK tweeted out a detailed photo of the hero's Eye of Agamotto, fans began sharing the image like crazy. The crafted necklace features plenty of flourishes which fans will recognize from the comics. Some are even speculating that the piece could contain one of the MCU's remaining Infinity Stones, like the Time Stone, though nothing has been confirmed on that front. Kevin Feige did tell EW in a previous interview that the relic can, "'screw around with time'" so who knows?
