Tonight, during Fox's broadcast of the Teen Choice Awards, Chris Evans came away victorious in the "Choice Movie Actor: Sci-Fi/Fantasy" category, based on his tremendous performance in Captain America: Civil War.

The 35-year-old movie star beat out some stiff competition from Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice stars Ben Affleck and Henry Cavill; fellow Marvel star Chris Hemsworth, who was nominated for his performance in The Huntsman: Winter's War; The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 2 star Josh Hutcherson; and even his Captain America: Civil War co-star Robert Downey Jr.

Before this year, Evans had previously been nominated 8-times for a Teen Choice Award, but he only won once. He won "Choice Movie Scene Stealer" in 2015, based on his work in Captain America: The Winter Soldier.

Marvel's Captain America: Civil War finds Steve Rogers leading the newly-formed team of Avengers in their continued efforts to safeguard humanity, but after another incident involving the Avengers results in collateral damage, political pressure mounts to install a system of accountability, headed by a governing body to oversee and direct the team. The new status quo fractures the Avengers, resulting in two camps—one led by Steve Rogers and his desire for the Avengers to remain free to defend humanity without government interference, and the other following Tony Stark's surprising decision to support government oversight and accountability.

The film stars Chris Evans, Robert Downey Jr., Scarlett Johansson, Sebastian Stan, Anthony Mackie, Emily VanCamp, Don Cheadle, Jeremy Renner, Chadwick Boseman, Paul Bettany, Elizabeth Olsen, Paul Rudd and Frank Grillo, William Hurt and Daniel Brühl. Directed by Anthony and Joe Russo and produced by Kevin Feige. Louis D'Esposito, Alan Fine, Victoria Alonso, Patricia Whitcher, Nate Moore and Stan Lee served as executive producers. The screenplay was written by Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely.

Marvel's Captain America: Civil War will available on Digital HD September 2 and on 3D Blu-ray, Blu-ray, DVD, Digital SD and VOD September 13!
