The Defenders: Deborah Ann Woll & Simone Missick Confirmed

The Marvel Netflix series are proving to be extremely successful. Comic book fans want to see the more mature, darker, and grittier sides of superheroes. So far Luke Cage, Jessica Jones, and two explosive seasons of Daredevil have brought in general audiences, meaning that Marvel superhero TV is now reaching the masses.

Of course Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, and the upcoming Iron Fist series are all leading to the ultimate team-up miniseries The Defenders, in which our street-level superheroes will go up against a mysterious major threat played by Sigourney Weaver.

Today, Marvel announced that fan-favorites Deborah Ann Woll and Simone Missick will be reprising their supporting roles as Karen Page and Misty Knight in The Defenders!

In the Daredevil series, Karen Page (Deborah Ann Woll) is the very resourceful secretary for Nelson and Murdock Attorneys At Law in Hell's Kitchen Along with Foggy Nelson, Matt Murdock and Ben Urich, Karen helped bring Kingpin Wilson Fisk to justice.

While working for Nelson and Murdock, Page came into contact with Frank Castle, who she helped defend in court. Woll was also recently confirmed to appear alongside of Jon Bernthal in The Punisher.

In the most recent Marvel series, Luke Cage, Misty Knight (Simone Missick) is a rough around the edges detective in Harlem, where Cage is trying his best to clean up the neighborhood from dirty politics and organized crime.

Misty is able to recreate crime scenes in her mind and catch tiny details that help crack the case. At first she was leary of Luke's intentions, but she eventually joined in on the fight to take back Harlem.

'Marvel's The Defenders' follows Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage and Iron Fist. A quartet of singular heroes with one common goal - to save New York City. This is the story of four solitary figures, burdened with their own personal challenges, who realize they just might be stronger when teamed together.

Daredevil seasons 1 and 2, Jessica Jones season 1, and Luke Cage season 1 are all available on Netflix. Iron Fist will premiere on March 17, 2017. The Defenders expected later in the year. The Punisher does not have a release date yet.
