Legion: Images From The Prof. Xavier vs. Shadow King Scene
Legion continues to increase its intrigue with its latest episode, 'Chapter 7.' In it, we finally [...]
Borrowed Continuity
In X-Men Comics continuity, Charles Xavier met Amahl Farouk when he was an Egyptian crime lord, using his mutant power as a telepath to control the minds of others. Impressed with Xavier's own considerable power, Farouk tried to recruit him; when Xavier refused, the two had a falling out, which led to an epic psychic battle on the Astral Plane. Xavier ultimately prevealed, though the villain's mind ultimately lived on as The Shadow King entity.
Later on, in the 1991 crossover event "The Muir Island Saga," Xavier and The Shadow King once again did battle, with the X-Men, X-Factor, and David Haller/Legion all caught in the middle. The climax of that story involved David being possessed by Shadow King, at great cost to Xavier's body, and David's mind.
Legion keeps the basic outline of that continuity intact; however, it adds its own unique layer to it, with the new story of how Farouk/Shadow King lurked in wait on the Astral Plane until he discovered Xavier's son David - and then, latched onto David like a parasite from infancy. Now that David has Shadow King (temporarily) locked away inside his head - and his aware of his true origins - the question remains: how long before we see Charles Xavier in the show?
For those still doubting that David's father is in fact Xavier: The photos in the following pages of image gallery have some visual clues that confirm it. Take a look for yourself.
