Laura Haddock, who portrays Peter Quill/Star-Lord's mother, Meredith Quill, says that she's not done with the Marvel Cinematic Universe yet.
While the Upstairs Downstairs and Da Vinci's Demons actress has appeared in both Guardians of the Galaxy installments, she hopes to return in another Guardians film - possibly in an even larger role.
During a recent interview with ScreenRant, promoting Haddock's role in Transformers: The Last Knight, the actress was asked if there are plans for her to return in Guardians 3.
"Who knows, let's see!" Haddock teased. "Let's talk to Marvel."
While Haddock's appearances in the previous Guardians films have been fairly small, they have factored significantly into the franchise's plot. Meredith's relationship with Ego the Living Planet (Kurt Russell), as well as her onscreen death in the opening minutes of the first Guardians, have been a huge element of Peter Quill's story.
The actress is unclear exactly how she could return in Guardians 3, but she's willing to do so in a slightly different role.
"I loved being in Guardians," Haddock explained. "So I’m wondering if I could just try and morph into somebody else and become a bigger part in Guardians."
As it turns out, The Guardians of the Galaxy installments aren't the only Marvel Cinematic Universe appearances Haddock has made. The actress is credited in a small cameo as 'Autograph Seeker' in 2011's Captain America: The First Avenger.
