'Inhumans' Actor Reveals More Details on Show's Original Character

Marvel's The Inhumans premieres in IMAX theaters in just over a week and as we get closer to the show's theatrical release we are also getting some a little more information about the show's original character, Louise, and how she impacts the tone of the series.
While audiences got a little tease of who Louise is at San Diego Comic-Con last month, actress Ellen Woglom sat down with CBR to reveal a little more about the mysterious character, specifically revealing that Louise is a little "quirky."
"She's incredibly smart, incredibly focused; loves all things lunar, space. To a degree, she sort of has blinders on about it, and it can sometimes cause her to maybe not pick up on social cues all the time, or maybe say things without thinking about them first. She also is a very fun character, because she's very quirky. It's been really fun," Woglom said.
Woglom's description of her character matches pretty closely with the official description of Louise which, in addition to describing her as smart, intense and focused, indicates that "her job at a private aerospace company is her life, second only to her passion for all things space and lunar. She's primed to be swept up in an adventure."
While making the show and playing Louise has been fun for Woglom, she also says that her role in the show brings something lighter to the series, contributing to a realistic overall tone.
"It's incredibly grounded. Like I said, even though it's this fantastical world, it's very much grounded. But I'm certainly a lighter part. It's not always totally heavy. Just like life, you can have serious things happening and there's still comedy in it. I would say it's just an accurate reflection of how life is. You can have heavy moments, you can have moments that are a little big lighter, you can have times where you laugh, you can have times where you cry, you can have time where you're angry. It reflects that accurately, I think, tonally."
Viewers will find out for themselves how accurate the tone is and how Louise fits into the world of The Inhumans soon. The show debuts on IMAX September 1, followed by its ABC premiere on September 29.
