Agents Of SHIELD: Is Love in the Cards for Ghost Rider and Quake?

Tonight, Agents of SHIELD will make its return with "Deal With Our Devils." The anticipated episode will see Daisy and Team Coulson search for several of their missing members. Coulson, Fitz, and Robbie Reyes have all disappeared, and Daisy is determined to figure out how Darkhold got ahold of her comrades. Fans are excited to see the Inhuman warrior go all-out on her search-and-rescue mission, but some think that Daisy has ulterior motives for the mission. Could it be because she harbors a crush on the Ghost Rider?

According to Chloe Bennet, that's just not the case.

The actress recently spoke with Entertainment Tonight about "Deal With Our Devils" and said her character is motivated to help out Reyes because they are so similar. "I think they kind of have an unspoken acknowledgement that they're feeling similar pain, and I don't think that goes away," she explained. "They understand each other in a way that probably other people don't. I like that dynamic a lot, but now it's kind of at the point where there's a lot of other things going on."

That bond, however, has little room for romance to bloom. Bennet expressed how happy she is to see the two's relationship stay platonic, especially after what happened to Daisy's ex-boyfriend Lincoln last season.

"I don't think there's any room for her to be falling in love or liking anyone at this point," she said. "I think she's still in an incredible amount of pain from losing Lincoln [and the events of last season]. I think there's a lot of guilt built up, and I'm glad that there was no forced relationship [between Daisy and Robbie], because I don't think that would have been right for them. I think this way, it was weirdly more personal."

"You see that in the beginning of the season, with Ghost Rider, she didn't care if she died or not. That's no way to live... I really just want like, a genuine sense of happiness and peace for her."
