Avengers Footwear Assemble! Marvel and Reebok Market Superhero Kicks

Just as DC Entertainment has a deal with Converse to produce snazzy-looking, custom Chuck Taylor All-Stars featuring DC characters, Marvel has now struck a similar deal with Reebok to create running shoes that look like they might be worn by some of your favorite Avengers and X-Men characters. Well, it's no Batman phone--but it might be a bit more practical. If you remember, Adam West could only ever get Commissioner Gordon on that thing. Characters who get their own sneakers include:

• Deadpool
• Chamber
• Wolverine
• The White Queen
• Captain America
• The Red Skull
• Sabretooth
• Black Widow

Marvel's website says that fans should keep their eyes open, as Spider-Man-themed sneakers will be coming soon to join the crowd--but frankly I got those at Wal-Mart for my kid, and they only cost $7. Some of the sneakers are pretty standard stuff, although the Wolverine and Chamber ones have way more yellow than I would be comfortable putting on my feet as I approach middle age. Like my comic choices, give me a good ol' Captain America(or, y'know--Deadpool) any day of the week.
