Disney's purchase of Fox has finally made an Avengers vs. X-Men movie possible, prompting fan designs of the unannounced film's logo.
Graphic designer BossLogic is among the first to make a proper fan-logo for what would be one of the most anticipated films in comic book movie history, mashing up the Avengers and X-Men logos to tease the showdown. Of course, the Marvel Studios logo hangs proudly above it, as all of the characters can now legally be controlled by Kevin Feige's creative vision.

Of course, the logo suggests a 2020 release date for an Avengers vs. X-Men movie is very wishful thinking. The X-Men will have to be thoroughly established in the Marvel Cinematic Universe in order for such a film to have an impact with fans invested in its characters. That said, never producing such a film would be a heartbreaking missed opportunity.
"Combining with Disney
"The agreement also provides Disney with the opportunity to reunite the X-Men, Fantastic Four and Deadpool with the Marvel family under one roof and create richer, more complex worlds of inter-related characters and stories that audiences have shown they love. The addition of Avatar to its family of films also promises expanded opportunities for consumers to watch and experience storytelling within these extraordinary fantasy worlds."
The X-Men franchise still has a number of films on the horizon independent of Disney's creative control, with a Deadpool sequel, The Dark Phoenix, and New Mutants on the way in 2018. 2018 also includes a trio of Marvel Studios films as Black Panther, Avengers: Infinity War, and Ant-Man and The Wasp are set to be released.
