Chinese actor Andy Lau, who was slated to play one of Tony Stark's allies in Iron Man 3, has decided to drop out of the production following the birth of his son, according to Latino Review. There is no word yet on who will replace him in the film. Chinese media suggest the frontrunners for the role include Chen Daoming (Hero) and Wu Xiubo (Before the Dawn). The film will, of course, be shot partially in China and feature a number of Chinese characters. Lau's character was reportedly key to the plot, as he was set to play someone whose daughter was kidnapped; it was the kidnapping that would bring Iron Man to China to seek justice.
