Marvel's Daredevil showrunner Steven DeKnight confirmed today that the series has completed filming its first season, presumably setting the stage for Jessica Jones to begin filming soon while Daredevil finishes post-production and prepares for a 2015 release.

You can see his tweet below.

Earlier this year, a PlayStation Network user noticed that the series is listed for a May 1 release in the Sony backend, suggesting that the first season of Daredevil could be timed to coincide with the release of Avengers: Age of Ultron that same day.

Marvel seems to be getting more and more behind the business model of one overwhelmingly big day; it's how they handled the Blu-ray release of Captain America: The Winter Soldier and Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.

According to the official synopsis, Marvel's Daredevil is "a live action series that follows the journey of attorney Matt Murdock, who in a tragic accident was blinded as a boy but imbued with extraordinary senses. Murdock sets up practice in his old neighborhood of Hell's Kitchen, New York where he now fights against injustice as a respected lawyer by day and masked vigilante at night."
