Luke Cage Movie

Before he made his comic book movie debut with Sin City, Quentin Tarantino briefly considered bringing Laurence Fishburne in to play Luke Cage, Hero For Hire in a feature film from producer Ed Pressman, according to a new interview with the filmmaker at MTV News. "After Reservoir Dogs, I had considered doing a Luke Cage, Hero for Hire movie. [Producer] Ed Pressman owned the rights at that time, and we talked about it," the filmmaker told MTV in the video embedded below. "I talked to Larry Fish [Laurence Fishburne] about being Luke Cage, and he really liked that idea. Then I ended up writing Pulp Fiction." Of course, besides Sin City, he's also made an impression on comics with a Django Unchained comic book series and been a staple at Comic-Con for years. Fishburne, meanwhile, never got his turn at a top-tier superhero property...until now. In June, fans can see him playing Perry White in Man of Steel.
