Abu Dhabi is the site of the planet Jakku in Star Wars: The Force Awakens, but now they're playing host to another location from the film: the Starkiller Base.

The planet, converted into a giant, mobile space station, can suck in the energy of a sun, blasting it out in a burst that can destroy several planets simultaneously. Luckily, the one in Abu Dhabi can't do that, but it's an engineering feat of its own.

The art installation put together by twofour54 and Aldar Properties PJSC has transformed Aldar's headquarter building - a large, unique, circular structure, into a 17,000m2 image of Starkiller Base. The project took "over 420 hours of combined manpower," and was put together for the premiere in Abu Dhabi, celebrating it as one of the on-location sets for the film.
