The Dark Knight Returns animated movie

Frank Miller, who wrote and drew The Dark Knight Returns and now serves as a creative consultant on Zack Snyder's upcoming Man of Steel sequel Batman vs. Superman, was clearly an influence on the look of Batman in the upcoming movie. With the release today of the first official look at Ben Affleck's Batman and the Batmobile he'll drive around in, fans had been throwing out references to Miller's Batman all day long. An older, more world-weary Batman is how he's been described by producers, and now we get a look that syncs up with that in the form of The Dark Knight Returns. But...how close are they? Acclaimed comics artist Dean Trippe has put together a side-by-side comparison of Frank Miller's Batman and Ben Affleck's -- both in general appearance and also of the bat logo specifically. Check it out below (and follow him on Twitter, since he's generally pretty awesome, Bat-analysis notwithstanding).
