When Zack Snyder's Batman V. Superman: Dawn of Justice arrives in theaters later this month, Ben Affleck will make his first appearance as The Dark Knight in DC's cinematic universe, and then five months later, he'll make his second appearance in David Ayer's Suicide Squad. Busy, Ben!
Surprisingly, an early cut of Suicide Squad already exists, and Affleck was among a select few that have seen it. What what surprise anyone, though, Affleck had nothing but the best to say about the film.
"I've seen Suicide Squad, and I can tell you that movie really works," Affleck told Entertainment Weekly. "That movie is really, really cool and fun and awesome."
It feels good to be bad… Assemble a team of the world's most dangerous, incarcerated Super Villains, provide them with the most powerful arsenal at the government's disposal, and send them off on a mission to defeat an enigmatic, insuperable entity. U.S. intelligence officer Amanda Waller has determined only a secretly convened group of disparate, despicable individuals with next to nothing to lose will do. However, once they realize they weren't picked to succeed but chosen for their patent culpability when they inevitably fail, will the Suicide Squad resolve to die trying, or decide it's every man for himself?
Suicide Squad is set to be released August 5, 2016.
