While most people were predicting that Loki would star in the Marvel One-Shot called "All Hail The King" on the upcoming Thor: The Dark World Blu-Ray, Comicbook.com went the opposite route and predicted the short film would actually star Ben Kingsley's character from Iron Man 3. Now, it has been confirmed that Ben Kingsley will indeed be the star of "All Hail The King," as EW has released the first photos from the short film. If you somehow haven't seen the highest grossing movie worldwide yet, then stop reading now because spoilers for Iron Man 3 follow. Instead of Ben Kingsley playing The Mandarin in Iron Man 3 as promoted in the trailers and commercials, Ben Kingsley played an actor named Trevor Slattery, who was hired to play the Mandarin. "All Hail the King" will follow Trevor Slattery, who is now locked away in a maximum security prison. According to EW, the short film will be fourteen minutes in length, and it was written and directed by Iron Man 3 writer Drew Pearce, who had hinted as much in a recent tweet. The short is being described as an epilogue to Iron Man 3 and a possible prologue to Iron Man 4. As far as the subject matter of "All Hail The King," Pearce said, "Imagine a real terrorist organization whose beliefs were long held and religious for thousands of years, and imagine a drunk, British actor coming along and essentially telling the world that he's the face of your organization. I think they would be right to be quite angry." The Thor: The Dark World Blu-Ray is scheduled to be released on February 25, 2014.
