Back in May, people we're surprised that Samuel L. Jackson (Nick Fury) and Cobie Smulders (Maria Hill) were left off of the official Captain America: Civil War cast list. While promoting her new film Unexpected, Smulder was asked if she'll make an appearance in Civil War or Avengers: Infinity War Parts 1 & 2.

"That's really sweet that you asked me, but I can't talk about that. I'll get in trouble!" Smulders told the Daily Beast.

Smulders is happy to be a part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe and her small but pivotal role should mean job security, but the secrecy Marvel employs keeps her in dark about when Maria Hill will next be used.

"It's very secretive," she said. "They like to keep the surprises for the audience so they don't reveal a lot of information—even to the inner circle. But it is nice! It's very cool to be a part of the world, and a part of this ongoing story that's happening. Normally, you walk into a movie, have a script, and then you're done with it, or at the most you'll do a sequel—maybe. But with the Marvel world, they're doing television, they have merchandise like crazy, and Lego video games. It's cool to be a part of all of it."

Captain America: Civil War opens in theaters May 6, 2016.
