Dimension Films Loses Rights To Halloween

Dimension Films has lost control of the Halloween rights, according to Bloody Disgusting.

They first produced the 1995 Halloween: The Curse of Michael Myers, and went on to make four more Halloween films, including the Rob Zombie reboot of the franchise.

They claim that Miramax, who had been partnered with Dimension Films and the Weinstein Company on the franchise, retain the rights and are shopping Halloween for a new distributor, apparently putting a planned third installment of the rebooted Halloween on hold.

There's been no official confirmation on this yet, so keep your eyes open in the new year for more.
