After showing off the covers for their special Star Wars: The Force Awakens issue that you can buy in stores earlier Tuesday, Empire Magazine shared their subscriber-exclusive cover with fans via twitter. Again, this cover will only come to those who already subscribe - or who buy it on ebay at ridiculous after-market prices.
The cover features C-3PO and R2-D2, who have the distinction of being the only characters to appear in all six movies plus both canon TV shows in the Star Wars franchise. Threepio is sporting his red arm, an interesting "passage of time" indicator, as director JJ Abrams described it, while Artoo looks mostly the same, with only a little bit of wear and tear added into his thirty extra years. The writing is in Aurebesh, the written language of the Star Wars world, and it's the only cover with an emblem that isn't a vehicle - instead showing the phoenix of the Rebel Alliance, and now of the Resistance. Check out the full-size cover image below, with the gallery of the other covers.
And for those looking for a translation (and yes, I was able to read this without a key, no, I'm not sure how proud of that I am, either):

Bottom: Star Wars (big bold) The Force Awakens (smaller bold) Special Edition (faded smaller still)
