Fantastic Four Sequel Release Date Moved Up

Even though fans have yet to see a single promotional photo or trailer for the upcoming Fantastic Four reboot by director Josh Trank, Fox evidently feels good enough about the film that they have moved up the release date for a sequel.

Fox announced earlier today that The Fantastic Four 2 is moving up more than a month from its original release date of July 14, 2017 to June 2, 2017. Fox also announced that a new Planet of the Apes movie will take The Fantastic Four 2's old release date of July 14, 2017.

The Fantastic Four reboot is a contemporary re-imagining of Marvel's original and longest-running superhero team. It centers on four young outsiders who teleport to an alternate and dangerous universe, which alters their physical form in shocking ways. Their lives irrevocably upended, the team must learn to harness their daunting new abilities and work together to save Earth from a former friend turned enemy.

The Fantastic Four reboot stars Miles Teller, Kate Mara, Jamie Bell, Michael B. Jordan, and Toby Kebell, and the film is scheduled to be released on August 7, 2015.
