Chernin Entertainment and 20th Century Fox are developing R.L. Stine's teen horror novel series Fear Street into a film, according to a report from TheWrap.
Fear Street takes place in the fictional city of Shadyside, Ohio, and usually follow a murder mystery style plot, though they sometimes diverge into the more supernatural realm of Stine's Goosebumps series.
"I'm not allowed to say, but yeah, there's something happening. I'm usually a loose cannon but they really didn't want me to talk about it," Stine told TheWrap when asked about the project.
There are more than 100 novels in the Fear Street series, which Stine began in 1989, so Fox will have plenty of material to work with.
