Five Moments We Want To See In X-Men: Apocalypse
Now that we've finally seen the first trailer for X-Men: Apocalypse, we're more excited than ever to see the next chapter of Fox's X-Men film saga.
Apocalypse will reintroduce Cyclops, Jean Grey, and Storm into the series, as young versions of the characters from the original film. It will also bring the trilogy centered on Magneto, Professor X, and Mystique to a conclusion, and introduce the biggest bad the X-Men have faced on screen yet in Apocalypse himself.
There's several other characters making their big screen debuts in the film, so with all of that in mind, we got to thinking about the moments we most would like to see in X-Men: Apocalypse. Click through to see what we came up with.

Havok v. Cyclops
Among all of the craziness involved with the Summers family tree, one thing that is sometimes forgotten is the way Alex and Scott Summers' powers interact with each other. For whatever reason, the brothers simply can't harm each other with their powers. We don't know exactly how the cinematic relationship between Havok and Cyclops is going to unfold, but we hope this revelation is a part of it.
prevnextThe focused totality of Psylocke’s telepathic powers
We know that Olivia Munn is playing Psylocke in the film, and it won't be Psylocke without the manifestation of her psychic knife. If the film actually includes the ridiculous, yet classic, line about how the knife is the "focused totality" of her powers would be doubly awesome.
prevnextAn Angel with broken wings
We already know that we'll see Warren Worthington III become Apocalypse's archangel of death in the film, which was one of the biggest reveals in X-Men history. However, that reveal was set up by one of the saddest moments in X-Men history, Angel having his wings mauled and broken by the Marauders before they nailed him to a sewer wall during the "Mutant Massacre" event. We hope this moment precedes Warren's transformation in the film as well.
prevnextA Phoenix manifestation
It seemed to us that the trailer for X-Men: Apocalypse was already foreshadowing a possible return to "The Dark Phoenix Saga." Comments about the trailer from director Bryan Singer only made us more suspicious. We hope to see the seeds of what may the next X-Men movie show up in Apocalypse, with Jean Grey tapping into the Phoenix Force to help save the day.
prevnextA surprise appearance from Cable
This one seems unlikely, unless the people at Fox are being extremely good at hiding it, but we'd love to see Cable – Apocalypse's arch enemy and Cyclops' son – make a surprise appearance somewhere in Apocalypse, even if it's just in the post-credits scene. Considering his relationship with Deadpool, it could be a nice tie-in to that movie as well.
