At today's Walt Disney Studios panel at San Diego Comic-Con International, the studio brought out the cast and filmmakers behind their big forthcoming releases Frankenweenie, Oz the Great and Powerful and Wreck-It Ralph to meet and greet with the fans and talk about their projects with the press. Filmmakers and stars walked the red carpet, talking about Disney's big movies for late 2012 and early 2013. Director Tim Burton came to speak about Frankenweenie, his upcoming reinvention of his a student film he made about a young man who brings his beloved dog back from the dead. It's an homage to classic horror movies, something we all saw when the Comic-Con trailer hit the Web earlier today. The trailer for Oz, the Great and Powerful also debuted today at Comic-Con, during a panel that featured stars Michelle Williams, Mila Kunis, director Sam Raimi and other special guests. It was the first real look at the film for most fans, given that there has been very little information coming out of the set. Wreck-It Ralph, meanwhile, the video game-themed animated feature film starring John C. Reilly and Sarah Silverman, who joined director Rich Moore (a veteran of Futurama) onstage to discuss the film, and reveal a new image from the movie. They also revealed that, in spite of a ton of video game characters appearing as heroes and villains in the film, there was one particular character--Nintendo's world-famous Mario--who will not be appearing in the film.
