Godzilla 2 Announced For 2018 Release Date

Legendary Pictures has set the release date of Godzilla 2 as Jun 8, 2018.

The film will be a sequel to this year's franchise reboot, Godzilla, directed by Gareth Edwards.

Edwards will return to direct the sequel, which will feature some of Godzilla's classic Toho Co. adversaries, including Mothra, Rodan, and King Ghidorah.

Edwards has also signed on to direct a Star Wars spinoff film. It would seem that this will not conflict with the filming of Godzilla 2.

In the meantime, Godzilla will be released onto home media on September 16.
