Hugh Jackman as Wolverine

Actor Hugh Jackman is backing away from previous statements he made saying that the next Wolverine movie would likely be his last. As previously reported, Jackman said that if he did another Wolverine that he was "99.9%" sure it would be his last. In an interview with the Associated Press, he's saying he may have jumped the gun on that estimate. "I think I might have overplayed my hand a little bit by saying I'm almost sure that the next one will be my last," said Jackman. Jackman has been playing Wolverine for 15 years, beginning with the original X-Men film in 2000. Including X-Men: Days of Future Past, Jackman has played the role in six different films (seven if you count his cameo in X-Men: First Class) and has admitted in several interviews that he may be getting too old to continue for much longer. Jackman will next play Wolverine in X-Men: Days of Future Past, coming to theaters May 23.
