Iron Man 3: Stephanie Szostak's Role Officially Confirmed, Man-Thing Connection Established

It turns out that we didn't have to be speculating. We can now officially confirm that Stephanie Szostak will be playing Ellen Brandt in Iron Man 3. What's our source? None other than Marvel themselves. After we ran our report last night a reader tipped us to check out the production notes on Marvel's official Iron Man 3 website. Marvel's own production notes list Stephanie Szostack as Brandt. So what does all this mean? Well, it means that all the rumors that Stephanie Szostak will be playing Wasp or Scarlett Witch can be put to rest. It also means that Man-Thing is now officially connected to the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Yes, Ellen Brandt is best known in the comic series as being married to Ted Sallis, who was a S.H.I.E.L.D. agent working on a project to recreate the super-soldier. Ted Sallis eventually became Man-Thing.
