John Boyega Is Surprising Fans At Star Wars: The Force Awakens Screenings

Star Wars: The Force Awakens star John Boyega is just full of surprises.

The actor, who plays Finn in the new film, has been popping in to screenings of the film and surprising fans with a special in-house cameo appearance.

While all of his pop-ups were in New York City, he didn't play brand favorites: Boyega appeared in Manhattan and Brooklyn at AMC, Regal, United Artists and Williamsburg Cinemas.

Amazing energy from Brooklyn fans! I did random pop ups so they had no idea! Some pop ups before the film and some after the film. Love it !

Star Wars: The Force Awakens, directed by J.J. Abrams from a screenplay by Lawrence Kasdan & Abrams, features a cast including actors John Boyega, Daisy Ridley, Adam Driver, Oscar Isaac, Andy Serkis, Academy Award winner Lupita Nyong'o, Gwendoline Christie, Crystal Clarke, Pip Andersen, Domhnall Gleeson, and Max von Sydow. They will join the original stars of the saga, Harrison Ford, Carrie Fisher, Mark Hamill, Anthony Daniels, Peter Mayhew, and Kenny Baker.

Star Wars: The Force Awakens hits theaters December 18, 2015, kicking off a new trilogy of Saga films as Episodes VIII and IX are already scheduled.
