Review aggregator Rotten Tomatoes has released its top ten best-reviewed wide releases of 2015 -- and the list includes genre hits Mad Max: Fury Road, Inside Out and Star Wars: The Force Awakens.

The list exclusively features movies whose "adjusted score" is over 100%, with Mad Max scoring more than 109%. According to the site, "The Adjusted Score comes from a formula (Bayesian) that we use that accounts for variation in the number of reviews per movie.

Also on the list were Brooklyn, Shaun the Sheep, The Martian, Spotlight, It Follows, Mission Impossible: Rogue Nation and Paddington.

You can see where many of those films stand on's Composite Rankings here.

Rotten Tomatoes, it should be noted, corrals available reviews and breaks them down into positive and negative, then gives movies and TV shows percentages based on their positive or negative reviews. This means that a 98% rating doesn't necessarily mean it's "98% perfect," but that 98% of people enjoyed it rather than didn't. This is often a cause for confusion, especially when a movie is granted a particularly high or particularly low Tomatometer rating and those who disagree can't understand why they disagree so vehemently with the number.
