During a speaking appearance at the Film Society of the Lincoln Center Wednesday night in promotion of the DVD and Blu-ray release of The Dark Knight Rises and The Dark Knight Trilogy Wednesday, filmmaker Christopher Nolan broke briefly from talking about Batman to discuss the experience of producing Man of Steel, Zack Snyder's upcoming Superman reboot. "Producing is a lot easier than directing," joked Nolan according to Movieline. "In fact, I'm producing even as we speak!" He told the audience that fanswill see a "fresh take" on Superman and praised Snyder. "It's pretty amazing what [Zack Snyder] has taken on and I think people are going to be thrilled. There's a lot of finishing to do, there's a lot of complexity going on, but I think that it will be thrilling." Man of Steel will be in theaters in June of 2013 (it was originally scheduled to be released in December), but fans will get their first big taste of the movie on December 14, when a new trailer for the movie is expected to run before screenings of The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey. Both Man of Steel and Peter Jackson's trilogy of Hobbit films are produced and distributed by Warner Brothers and Legendary Pictures.
