Kingsman and Kick-Ass co-creator Mark Millar's latest feature film to go forward is Empress, based on an as-yet-unpublished series he's doing with artist Stuart Immonen.

And now the title role has been cast -- but with whom? Millar shared a photograph of the actress, with heavy makeup and an outfit that conceals some of her identifying features, and challenged fans to guess who's appearing in the film.

Last week, ComicBook.com learned that the rights to the series had been optioned in a move that could potentially have reunited Wanted creator Mark Millar with Jolie, who helped catapult the film to more than $300 million at the global box office. It certainly looks, though, as though this is not Jolie:

He referred to this earlier in the night as the "first" viral photo, so expect more.

The comic, which will launch in April, centers on the wife of a galactic dictator, who leaves him, taking her three children along. With the aid of a bodyguard, she takes the kids -- not all of whom want to be free of their father -- to her home world for refuge.

Needless to say, it's not that simple.

Empress is reported to be planned for a trilogy of six-issue miniseries.

Most of the speculation on the Twitter thread centers on The Dark Knight Rises star Anne Hathaway, with some fans throwing in names like Alicia Vikander, Lady Gaga, Charlize Theron, and Megan Fox.

Of course, most of those names would be discounted if earlier reports that the part would go to a middle-aged actress, in the 35- to 50-years-old range. At the time, we were hearing that since it's rare to have an action role for a 40-year-old actress, the part had created a bit of buzz around the part, with Angelina Jolie and Sandra Bullock both in the mix.

If a consensus doesn't form soon -- and if the news isn't spoiled before then -- Millar will announce the name of the mystery actress on April 6.
