While the lot of photos from Thor: The Dark World we ran early this morning didn't show much in the way of recognizable faces, a new batch of images, also taken at Bourne Wood by a British tabloid are somewhat more generous in that way, purporting to show Sif (Jaimie Alexander) riding into battle with some cloaked villains who are more likely than not Dark Elves. If that's the case, we get a first (and very pre-CG) look at the way those characters will be handled in the film, as well. The Daily Mail has a series of shots that also seem to show the village that's been under construction in Surrey for the last two weeks ablaze, suggesting that a pretty substantial battle may happen there, rather than just a brief dust-up like what we saw in the  home of the Frost Giants toward the start of Thor. While it's been widely speculated since these sets started going up that they might take place in the realm of the Dark Elves, it seems more likely looking at some of the destruction here and some of what appear to be the villagers that this may just be another realm caught up in whatever war is going on. Check 'em out. And, of course, while we can't tell much of what's going on from just these images--spoilers on. Thor: The Dark World stars Chris Hemsworth, Jaimie Alexander, Anthony Hopkins, Zachary Levi and many more in a sequel to the Marvel Studios hit Thor and takes place following the events of this year's Marvel's The Avengers, the third-highest grossing film of all time. It will be in theaters in November 2013.
