Resident Evil Computer Animated Reboot Movie Coming In 2017

Capcom is teaming with Marza Animation Planet for a computer animated Resident Evil movie, set for release in 2017.

According to Japanese website Inside, Takashi Shimizu (Ju-On) will serve as executive producer on the film. Takanori Tsujimoto will direct, and Moakoto Fukami (Psycho-Pass) will write the script.

The new film is a complete reboot, and will have no connection to previous Resident Evil movies. The story will feature Leon Kennedy, Chris Redfield, and Rebecca Chambers.
