Jaime King, who played Goldie in Sin City, will return as Goldie's twin sister Wendy in Sin City: A Dame to Kill For, which began filming today, according to The Hollywood Reporter. The site also says taht Devon Aoki won't return for the sequel, with Jamie Chung joining the cast as Miho. She'll have a somewhat larger role in this movie, if it's anything like the comics, as she helps Dwight find Ava, the titular "dame," who has yet to be cast. Reports that Angelina Jolie would take the role turned out to be premature, and her departure has left the role vacant. While Mickey Rourke, Jessica Alba and Rosario Dawson will return to reprise their roles from the first film, it's unclear exactly what involvement Clive Owen will have. While he's rumored to be returning as Dwight, the character has more than one "look" in the course of the story and it's been widely speculated another actor may step in to play Dwight in some or all of the movie. Dwight is the central character in A Dame to Kill For, making those questions all the more urgent. The script, however, isn't based strictly on that graphic novel, with elements of other Sin City stories--and even an original story Miller wrote for the film adaptation--playing into the story. Miller co-wrote the film with filmmaker Robert Rodriguez, and the pair will co-direct, as they did the first movie in the franchise. Miller's solo directorial effort that followed, The Spirit, was widely criticized as being a dressed-down Sin City.
