On the even of the American release of The Avengers--almost certain to become the highest-grossing film of her career--superstar Scarlett Johansson today was given one of cinema's rarest honors: a star on the famous Hollywood Walk of Fame. She joins fellow Avengers alumni Robert Downey, Jr. and Stan Lee, who have each been honored on the Walk of Fame in the last three years. Joined by Avengers co-stars Jeremy Renner and Clark Gregg (whose interview with ComicBook.com you can read here), Johansson posed for the crowd and met with fans after being awarded the 2,470th plot in the motion picture category. Best known for her work in films like Lost in Translation and Iron Man 2, The Avengers is Johansson's third comic book adaptation, including her turn in Terry Zwigoff's Ghost World opposite Thora Birch.
