The Death Of Superman Lives Trailer Released Online

Producer and director Jon Schnepp has released the first full trailer for the feature length documentary The Death of Superman Lives; What Happened? Superman Lives was a Superman movie that almost got made back in the nineties. Superman Lives featured a script written by Kevin Smith and would have been directed by Tim Burton and starred Nicolas Cage as Superman.

In addition to Cage as Superman, Superman Lives would have included Rainbow Robot Outfits, Brainiac Skull ships, Superman not "flying", Fighting a Giant Spider, and Polar Bears guarding the Fortress of Solitude. It would have also featured a cameo by Batman. Comedian and actor Chris Rock was set to play Jimmy Olsen in the film. The script was loosely based on the Death and Return of Superman storyline from the comics.

Schnepp raised money through Kickstarter in order to fund a documentary to examine exactly why this film never got made. The Death of Superman Lives; What Happened? trailer features interviews with Tim Burton, Kevin Smith, and many more
